[ Today is fruit salad day and they're not giving it up just because the fruits have faces now! It's after Ritsu's class hours and he headed straight home, because science. Do they taste different? Will they have vocal screams? And most importantly: can they be stronger than all the fainthearted people on Retrospec vowing to not touch any of the affected fruit. Welcome to the Morally So-so House. ]

Do you think they'll be noisy when kept in the refrigerator now?

[ Maybe they need to start buying them in smaller batches, or only for immediate consumption. ]

[ Nikolai isn't going to let something like this stop him! Even if it's a little strange.

Okay more than a little strange. But it doesn't matter that much. ]

Making them cold does not seem to slow them down very much...it might be a little troublesome if they dislodge anything else.

[ So that's pretty much a yes. He has two of each fruit bouncing around on the chopping board, making small nuisances of themselves...he's kind of staring at them intently.

And holding a knife. He's ready. There's another knife for Ritsu, because Science. ]

[ Ritsu takes the knife, with a glance at the strange, mindless things with their unmoving smiles. This sort of thing belonged only on advertisement logos and pictures, and their mascot forms in awkward costumes. As such, he has no issue picking one up, and casually peeling off the face in a clean cut. ]

Hm, no change in expression.

They don't seem to feel any kind of pain, and they just stop making sound. It looks like it is more of a novelty than anything. [ At least they don't make noises like they're in pain. Even if it was a facsimile, that might make Nikolai a bit squeamish.

He cuts up the apples, any lingering doubts firmly assuaged. ] What a strange change to make, though...it is pointless.

[ Ritsu shrugs, feeling the same. ]

First the horses to those giant birds, and now this. I don't think it's going to be stopping at this rate.

[ Still, skin is a source of fiber. However tiny, it feels like a waste. ]

Well, should we keep them part of the salad anyway? I don't mind it too much, we could always just place them face down if it bothers you. [ aka I don't care if they are still staring at me as they enter my mouth ]
